Mena Suvari Biography
Mena Suvari was born in Newport, Rhode Island on February 9, 1979. The youngest child of parents Ando, a retired psychiatrist, and Candice, a nurse, the natural redhead has three older brothers, who all enlisted in the US army. At age 12 Mena started modeling, and at age 13 her acting career began when she did a Rice-a-Roni commercial. She was also a Wilhelmina model for a few years. Mena attended middle school at the Ashley Hall all-girls school in Charleston, South Carolina, and graduated from Providence High School in Burbank, California. Mena Suvari is perhaps best known for her work in American Beauty (1999) and the first two American Pie films.
